Taiwan: Treasure Hill Artist Village, Taipei

In my previous trip to Taipei, I’ve not heard of the Treasure Hill Artist Village before, so this was new. In fact, the area was restored as an artist village in 2010. It’s a small and hippie place and I probably spent only approximately 2 hours exploring the village and… I LOVE IT! The Pokemon buddies left to head back Singapore while I stayed on a few more days. Wy flew in to join me. She hasn’t been to Taipei, so I took this chance to visit more of the places that I haven’t been to. And that’s how I discovered Treasure Hill Artist Village.

On the way to the village, you’ll be able to spot a big wall mural with the drawing of the village map. As you walk further, there were some bad ass graffitis waiting to be admired.

This one in particular, looks like a “Back to the Future” art piece or was it taking reference from Galaxy Battles online games like this? Can you figure out the graffiti words on the train?

If you want to battle you're in denial

A tiny “reception” area for visitors with enquiries. Visitors can also take the leaflets from the wooden frame boxes.

My favourite graffiti of the entire area by artist Candy Bird.

The 2 ways of reading the signage below:
1. But… you’re very sexy
2. You’re very sexy… but…

Instead of “I pick seashells by the seashore”, it was “I post postcard at a post office”. No kidding, I really did post a postcard to a friend, Agnes. It’s been years since we decided to keep the traditions of slow mailing each other whenever we travel. #oldschool #werolllikethat

I revisited 1914 Huashan Creative Park with Wy. Nothing much has changed except for the on-going events so check out my previous post for more photos of the space.

An upcoming post will be the last post of my Taiwan Trip. Check back soon… till then!
