Weekly Photo Challenge : Admiration
On the 1st of May, where it was a public holiday (Labour’s day), some of us had the honour of witnessing one of the very moving moments. It was meant to be a surprise event for a buddy’s younger sister (we nicknamed her ‘potato‘)… proposal mission. We all had a role to play and we were probably not as nervous as the boyfriend (nicknamed ‘dino‘) but we couldn’t help ourselves from feeling the nerves too.
I was supposed to hide and appear only when potato appears. Turned out as I was adjusting the dials on my camera to get the right settings, potato walked in. My heart skipped a beat I swear & almost had a panic attack while looking at her approach through the camera screen. But the calm nature in me reacted quickly to the already exposed situation. You know? Like keep calm and carry on. She very quickly realised what was going on and friends & family were already crowding around. Dino went on his knees and starting giving his speech. So some starting tearing together with potato, I was holding back my emotions and focusing on trying to capture the moments… the rest is history.
Ps: Everyone commented about the fugly plastic bag but that’s not the point! This goes to show how real the situation is ain’t it? Haha.
Such a perfect timing to post the pictures of what I thought was an admirable and courageous gesture during a certain stage of a heterosexual couples’ life. Great job dino! You deserve our admiration indeed.
Once again, Congratulations potato & dino! Now we look forward to the wedding day.
