Pokemon Go Singapore : North Region
Out of the group of friends I usually hang out with, I’m like the last man standing. Even my friends were surprised how addicted I am to the game. The addiction is so real that I cannot resist writing a post about it. Yes, that’s how crazy it got at least for me. There was once myself & wy ran out of my place and rode to Sembawang to catch a new pokemon without any money, ciggy and my handphone running out of battery. I phoned up Joey, went up to her place for the first time to use her toilet, borrow her money and her portable charger. LOL. Damn gangsta!
So there are several types of Pokemon players. I’m the too impatient to catch a 100 of each kind and evolve but try to catch them wild type of player. I refused to buy a complete account or “fly” GPS (botting) because that kinda defeats the purpose. It’s a personal challenge I impose on myself. Eh-eh, chey ba~.
The advantages for me is, I ride a motorcycle and I’m a freelancer. With the awesome team behind SGPokeMap.com , having a bike license and own time own target working arrangement – is without a doubt the FASTEST & BEST combination to hunt and chase. Even cars are no match for riders because we can squeeze in between cars to get to the location first. The feeling of empowerment… CAN YOU NOT FEEL IT ALREADY! Don’t say I cheat, because I worked damn hard for my catch. Monitoring the tweets and the map was as if I was a stockbroker or something. But of course, I wouldn’t be able to get by this far to catch all 141 at level 26 if it was on foot chase. STILL, I worked for it.
So I started playing on August 6 and my last catch was October 5, with busy projects in between, it’s considered a fairly fast achievement imo. Some pokemons have really shitty move sets and CP but that’s ok. I’ll work backward at a more laid back pace. Hope this pokemon list that I’ve caught wild will help some of you staying in the north and that are too lazy (like me) to chase all over Singapore.
How I Complete my 141 Pokedex
By now, I need not explain more about what is Pokemon Go nor the rules of the game. Or how to level up, where the pokemons’ nest are and their spawning area because you might have already found it everywhere on the internet, Facebook groups and what not. Instead, I’ll be sharing how I caught my 141 Pokedex list from MAINLY the northern region of Singapore. In which, the rare and ultra rare ones in places especially from Yishun, Sembawang to Woodlands. Of course, it’s not possible to shoot all the way from Yishun to Woodlands. So I broke it down into 3 parts (refer to map below) and did my hunting mostly at night or the weekends and waited for a couple of hours (luck plays a part too).
Pikachus are scattered all over in Yishun, Sembawang and Woodlands
Snorlax spawns in many places as well but more often in Yishun and Hougang areas
I do see Gyarados appear in Yishun and Sembawang at times but since the canal near my place has an abundance of Magikarps, I’ve evolved like 3 Gyarados already.
Ok, that is all folks!
Have fun catching ’em all.
